  • Letting Sub-Contractors More Understand Our Company Principles

2017/09/16    The Way We Work 仕事のこだわり

In this multiethnic country New Zealand it is sometimes difficult to communicate and share the same ideas with our partner professionals and contractors. We sometimes are surprised to see things that these people do that do not usually happen in Japan. (日本語訳下にあります) They tend to do things in their own way but we want to share with them our company principles for better outcomes. The most important part I think is “Penetration of our company principles”. This is the base of all actions. To say words is easy, but practice is not easy. It is necessary to patently and carefully spend time on letting them understand our principles. Now I list up below the three most important things that seems necessary at this stage to do […]

  • Bonjitettei 凡事徹底

2017/08/26    The Way We Work 仕事のこだわり

Hi all, Our company policy is to keep doing Bonjitettei (凡事徹底)which is shared with our subcontractors. (日本語訳下にあります) Bonjitettei Bonjitettei is a Japanese word and the direct translation into English should be “do small basic things thoroughly”. We think this is the most important concept for us as well as our sub-contractors because any outcome of our work is just a sum of normal small work. If you can complete each small basic step towards your goal thoroughly you will get the incredible result as Warren Buffett, an American world most successful investor, noted: “It is not necessary to do extraordinary things to do extraordinary results”  Example of our Bonjitettei practice includes that we use our own checklists created based on our experience through design and construction […]

  • DESIGN & BUILD & Maintenance Part 1

2017/08/12    Minor Unit マイナーユニット, New Home 新築, Renovation 改装, The Way We Work 仕事のこだわり

It is very advantageous to make home design and construction and maintenance consistently with one construction company. (日本語訳下にあります) The company is like a home doctor who knows all the history of your family and understand the family’s condition. Such a doctor is called GP in New Zealand, and usually each family has their own GP. The company like Japan Homes keeps watching your home to quickly specify the cause of a problem with a part of your house and fix it properly before it becomes too serious that needs a lot of cost. As a designer and builder we will become very happy if we can start everything from scratch. A  house is an art which is a combined form of various materials and elements. […]
